LOS ANGELES (AP) - Matt Kemp hit a pair of two-run homers, Yasiel Puig had four hits with two runs scored and the first-place Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Atlanta Braves 8-4 Tuesday night for their fourth straight win. The Dodgers trailed twice in their first meeting with the Braves since eliminating them in a National League division series last season.

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) - Matt Ryan is expanding his leadership role to include teaching young players and other newcomers in his seventh training camp with the Falcons. Tight end Tony Gonzalez has retired, receivers Julio Jones and Roddy White missed most of the offseason work and Ryan is adjusting to two new starters on his offensive line.

ATLANTA (AP) - Angel McCoughtry led Atlanta with 25 points Tuesday, helping the Dream snap a four-game losing streak with an 89-80 win over the Connecticut Sun. Atlanta remains in first place in the East, 3 1-2 games ahead of Washington.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - NASCAR has suspended Denny Hamlin's crew chief and car chief for six races for a failed post-race inspection at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Darian Grubb and Wesley Sherrill are both suspended through the Sept. 6 race at Richmond.
