WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) - Wake Forest has added Greek forward Konstantinos Mitoglou to its basketball roster. Coach Danny Manning announced Mitoglou's addition Tuesday. Mitoglou averaged 5.8 points and 7.0 rebounds for Greece in the 2013 under-18 European championship.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - West Virginia and Tennessee will open the 2018 college football season at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. The Charlotte Sports Foundation on Tuesday announced the first meeting between the schools. The game will be played Sept. 1, 2018. It will mark the first game for Tennessee in Charlotte.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina basketball coach Frank Martin has beefed up the Gamecocks' schedule, and now he hopes to improve the team's attendance. Martin and his players are embarking on a weeklong series of events in the community to build goodwill and urge fans to purchase season tickets.

ATLANTA (AP) - Jacob Turner allowed two runs in his bid for a permanent return to Miami's rotation and the Marlins knocked Mike Minor out of the game early in their 6-5 win over the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday night. Donovan Solano had a career-high four hits and also reached on a walk as Miami took its second straight win over Atlanta to open the four-game series.
