MANNING, S.C. (AP) - A prosecutor says he expects to hold a hearing next month to determine whether a 14 year-old boy who was executed by South Carolina in 1944 should have a new trial. Prosecutor Ernest A. Finney III says that if the judge grants a new trial, he will view that as Stinney's conviction being removed.
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Gov. Nikki Haley says her military husband will be home before Christmas, but she's not sure of the exact date. The Republican governor says she's excited about the impending return of Capt. Michael Haley, who left in January for a yearlong mission to Afghanistan.
