DARLINGTON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Eleven students were transported to a Pee Dee hospital Wednesday following a school bus accident in Darlington County.

Lance Cpl. Sonny Collins with the South Carolina Highway Patrol says the accident occurred at the intersection of Oleander Drive and Lawson Road following the dismissal of school. Collins says the school bus was struck at the intersection after a pick-up truck ran a stop sign.

Minor injuries were reported in the accident. The exact extent of injuries of the 11 students, however, is not known.

In all, 34 students from Darlington High School and Darlington Middle School were on the school bus at the time of the accident.
