Scavenger hunt for "Elf on the Shelf"

Posted: Updated:

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Barnes and Noble at the Market Common is adding some competition to the holiday season and finding a way to have shoppers visit other businesses in the community.

The bookstore is handing out "Elf on the Shelf" scavenger hunt sheets. Shoppers will have to visit different stores and restaurants in search of hidden elves.

Once all the elves have been found and noted on their registration sheet the shopper will be entered into a drawing that could win them a $50 gift card to Barnes and Noble.

"The parents get to shop, and the kids just get to go around and hunt for the elf and have a good time," said Hatton Gravely of the Market Common. "It makes shopping a fun experience here."

The "Elf on the Shelf" scavenger hunt will last until December 23.
