HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Providing peanut butter and jelly for those in need. That's what the Horry County Auditor's Office along with Churches Assisting People organization is working to do, and they're asking for your help.
On Wednesday, Lois Eargle of the Horry County Auditor's Office held a news conference to announce the partnership between the office and CAP. At the conference, she explained their goal and where people could make donations for the campaign called "Spread the Love."
"Families are in line for food," said Eargle. "So we want to provide and spread the love."
According to CAP, the government used to provide peanut butter, but have stopped, and now the organization is working to make up for it. So far this year, CAP has provided over 225,000 meals.
"People are in dire need of food, especially peanut butter and jelly," Eargle continued.
There are four locations for those interested in donating.
Conway – 1301 2nd Ave. Ste. 1C41
Myrtle Beach – 1201 21st Ave. N.
Little River – 107 Hwy. 57
South Stand – 9630 Scipio Ln.
