HARTSVILLE, SC (WMBF) - Investigators arrested an Atlanta, GA man and seized nearly $29,000 in counterfeit shoes on Monday afternoon.
According to the Darlington County Sheriff's Office, investigators were investigating an incident that happened on Sunday where an Atlanta, GA man was robbed at gunpoint in his car. The case led agents to raid a home in the 2300 block of North Center Road in Hartsville.
Drug enforcement units and officers with the Secretary of State's office served the warrants and found $28,810 in counterfeit shoes.
Authorities arrested Morris Kenyette Mazyck Jr., 37, at the home and charged him with kidnapping, grand larceny and trafficking counterfeit goods.
Both cases are still under investigation and more charges may be forthcoming.
