MYRTLE BEACH (WMBF) - A Myrtle Beach boutique teamed up with a golf course to raise money for Brides Against Breast Cancer.
Sunday, the Pine Lakes Country Club played host to the Little White Dress boutique for a fashion show and tea party. The money raised from the event went to Brides Against Breast Cancer, a fundraising group that works with breast cancer patients.
"We are honored to host the Fall Fashion Afternoon Tea event at Pine Lakes," said Courtney Gleaves, with Burroughs & Chapin Company Inc. in a press release. "This event allows the brides of the Grand Strand area to come together and enjoy an afternoon of amazing cuisine and fellowship with their community peers while they shop for the wedding dress of their dreams. And all this benefiting a most worthy cause. We look forward to a very successful event as we raise funds and awareness to help fight breast cancer."
All the models in the fashion show were breast cancer survivors.
Organizers said the event went so well, they are planning another one for next year.
