Hanson, HelloGoodbye to host barefoot walk at CCU

CONWAY, SC (WMBF) - A number of popular music acts among young adults are hitting the campus of Coastal Carolina University in hopes of raising awareness for those less fortunate in foreign countries.

As a part of the "Use Your Sole" tour, Hanson, HelloGoodbye, Steel Train and Sherwood will be heading to Coastal for a one-mile barefoot walk on Oct. 23, beginning at 1 p.m. The walks, according to event organizers, are designed to raise awareness for the lack of simple amenities - like shoes - in Africa and around the world.

Hanson and their fans have already walked 24,902 miles together, traveling the distance around the world.
