COLUMBIA, SC (WMBF) – A Myrtle Beach man has been taken into custody on 20 counts of child pornography.
According to a press release from South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson, 31-year-old Brian A. DiDonna was arrested Jan. 31 on 10 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and 10 counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
Each felony offense is punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment on each count, the release stated.
Investigators received a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which led them to the suspect. He allegedly distributed and possessed files of child pornography.
The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
A search of the Horry County Sex Offender registry showed that DiDonna was convicted on Dec. 11, 2018 in New York for promoting a sexual performance by a child.
