MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A much warmer and spring-like weather pattern sets up across the Carolinas this week.
The storm system that delivered showers the region Sunday evening will continue to pull away today and leave sunny skies and milder temperatures in its wake. Morning temperatures in the middle 40s will quickly climb into the mid 60s at the beach today and into the upper 60s well inland.
The milder weather will continue through the rest of the week with each day turning progressively warmer. Tuesday will see afternoon temperatures reach the upper 60s at the beach and 70 inland.
From Wednesday through Friday, temperatures will continue to climb and reach the lower 70s each day. Temperatures will likely reach as high as 75 across the Pee Dee by Thursday and Friday.
Rain chances this week will remain slim with just a sprinkle or two possible on Wednesday and then again on Friday.
A cold front will bring an end to the warmth by late Friday. The upcoming weekend will feature much cooler weather with afternoon temperatures dropping into the upper 40s to lower 50s.
