Wife charged with murder after stabbing death of husband in Bennettsville

BENNETTSVILLE, SC (WMBF) - Two people have been arrested in connection with the stabbing death of a man in Bennettsville.

According to Lt. Larry Turner with the Bennettsville Police Department, investigators were dispatched to a situation on Westwood Court Friday. Upon arriving on the scene, investigators found that a male had been involved in a domestic dispute which led to him being stabbed inside of his home. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died.

Police have arrested the victim’s wive in connection with the stabbing. Gladys Williams has been charged with murder and is currently being held at the Marlboro County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.

Authorities say a second subject, Jennifer Adams, has been charged with accessory after the fact of murder. Police say Adams removed and discarded the murder weapon from the crime scene.

Adams is also being held at the Marlboro County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.

The investigation remains ongoing.
