One suspect in custody, search continues for second after Horry County home invasion where victim was beaten, tied up

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Horry County police have taken one person into custody and continue to look for the second in connection with a home invasion last month.

According to information from the Horry County Police Department, Leonard “Ox” Wilson and Lindsey Elston, along with three others, entered a home in the 1200 block of Hwy 90 near Conway while armed back in December, beat the victim and tied him up before leaving with numerous items.

According to a tweet from HCPD, Elston was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon.

Three others have already been arrested in connection with this incident. Wilson is known to spend time in the Gale Acres community, according to the HCPD.

Both are wanted on charges of first-degree burglary, attempted murder, armed robbery, kidnapping, and possession of a weapon during violent crime.

Wilson also faces an additional felon in possession of a weapon charge. He is 32 years old, approximately 300 lbs, and 6-foot-4, with black hair and brown eyes.
