MARION, SC (WMBF) – A man has been arrested and charged after allegedly firing into an occupied vehicle in Marion last month.
According to a news from the Marion Police Department, 21-year-old Dustin Bradley Wilson, of Marion, turned himself in on Jan. 2. He has been charged with five counts of attempted murder, malicious injury to personal property and discharging a firearm into a vehicle.
On Christmas Eve, a group of people were sitting in a vehicle in the Withlacoochie Park area when Wilson opened fire on the car, police say. According to the release, the occupants of the vehicle escaped serious injury.
Wilson’s bond was set at $15,000 for the discharging a firearm into a vehicle and malicious injury to personal property charges. Police say bond for the attempted murder charges will be set by a judge at a later date.
Wilson is currently being held at the Marion County Detention Center.
