HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Work will cause some lanes of traffic to be closed on a pair of heavily traveled thoroughfares.
The Barefoot Resort and Golf Swing Bridge will have only one lane of traffic open for the next several weeks.
Officials with the city of North Myrtle Beach said this is due to scheduled, yearly maintenance work, which is expected to take between two and three weeks.
Additionally, there are nighttime closures for part of the Highway 31 extension project starting Tuesday night.
According to information from Horry County, the first closure will happen at Dick Pond Road and S.C. 544 westbound starting at 7 p.m. Tuesday and lasting until 6 a.m. Wednesday.
Then on Wednesday and Thursday during the same timeframe, there will be a lane closure along S.C. 544 where it meets Dick Pond Road.
Also, the S.C. 544 eastbound turn lane onto Pine Hollow Road will be closed Wednesday and Thursday nights. These lane closures scheduled so crews can construct wheelchair ramps along the highway.
