LUMBERTON, NC (WMBF) - Two are behind bars Sunday after authorities say a traffic stop led to a discovery of drugs in Robeson County.
Timothy Reese Kinlaw Jr., 28, of Lumberton, NC was arrested and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and placed in the Robeson County Detention Center under a $1,000 secured bond.
Jorden Kasee Smith, 19, of Lumberton, NC was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Heroin, Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Cocaine, Possession of a Schedule III Controlled Substance, Maintaining a Drug Vehicle, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Smith was placed in the Robeson County Detention Center under a $160,000 secured bond.
According to a press report, deputies pulled over the pair for failure to stop for a stop sign at the intersection of Carthage Road and Norment Road near Lumberton, NC. A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of heroin, cocaine and digital scales. Deputies located and seized a .45 caliber handgun. Deputies also seized $786 in currency.
