MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Warrants have been served on two suspects in connection with a weekend shooting in Myrtle Beach.
According to Myrtle Beach Police Cpl. Tom Vest, 19-year-old Justin Tyreck Evans was charged with assault and battery, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, unlawful carrying of a pistol, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Additionally, 21-year-old Kassey Diane Robinette faces counts of accessory before the fact to a felony, accessory after the fact to a felony, and giving false information to law enforcement, Vest said.
Online records for the Myrtle Beach Police Department show both suspects were arrested on Tuesday, although the charges listed for Evans were drug charges. Vest added that he has been served the warrants related to the shooting.
Officers were called to Hemingway Street early Sunday afternoon after reports came in of a shooting. One person was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries.
