MULLINS, SC (WMBF) – East Front Street in the Mullins area has reopened to traffic following a train derailment on Friday, according to Marion County Sheriff Brian Wallace.

Authorities said two train cars carrying lumber came off the tracks along East Front Street around 8 a.m. Friday morning.

Officials said no one was hurt in the accident.

Wallace said Sunday that crews are still working on the track. He added the cause of the derailment has not been determined at this time.
