Police investigate shooting in Myrtle Beach that injures one

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Police are investigating a shooting that happened early Sunday afternoon in Myrtle Beach.

Myrtle Beach Police Cpl. Tom Vest said a call came in shortly after 12 p.m. of a shooting in the area of Hemingway Street.

According to Vest, preliminary reports indicate one person was taken to Grand Strand Medical Center for treatment of injuries.

According to a press release that came in around 2:10 p.m. Sunday, officers have secured the scene at a home in the 1100 block of Hemingway Street and remain in the area.
