MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - While we catch a short break from the rain, more is set to arrive by the end of the week.
Beautiful weather continues as we move into the work week. Sunny skies prevail Monday, with afternoon highs climbing to right around 60°.
While we keep the sunny weather going into Tuesday, cooler weather does return. Morning lows fall into the upper 30s, with afternoon temperatures stuck in the lower 50s.
The clouds begin to filter back in Wednesday ahead of our next chance of rain. Temperatures begin to warm but we’re stuck in the 50s again for Wednesday afternoon.
Our next storm system arrives Thursday and brings with it another round of heavy rain. Expect the heaviest rain to fall late in the day, Rain totals will range between 1″ to 2.″
Most of the heavy rain exits by Friday, but showers will likely linger through the evening. We do turn warmer as the rain arrives with afternoon highs returning to the 60s.
