Thousands in the dark across Grand Strand and Pee Dee after Michael

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – After Michael made its way through the Carolinas, many residents in our area continue to experience power outages.

According to Duke Energy, 375,503 customers are without power as of 5:00 p.m. Thursday:

Robeson County, NC: 1,055

Columbus County, NC: 78

Scotland County, NC: 23

Dillon County: 40

Darlington County: 1,378

Horry County: 1

Marlboro County: 56

Marion County: 117

Florence County: 211

Georgetown County: 1

As of about 3:01 p.m., Santee Cooper is reporting about 1,324 customers without power in the Myrtle Beach area, while about no Horry Electric customers in the Longs and Georgetown areas are without power.
