HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A portion of Highway 90 has reopened after a bridge was deemed safe.

According to Horry County Councilman Johnny Vaught, the bridge at Jones Big Swamp on Highway 90 near Highway 22 and the Carolina Pines RV Resort was determined to be structurally sound by an inspection team that was sent out Thursday morning.

The bridge had been closed on Wednesday.

Vaught said this clears everyone from Tilly Swamp all the way up to Highway 22.

However, Highway 90 remains closed at Tilly Swamp and again at the Horry County Solid Waste Authority.
