Tidelands Health opening health center to first responders, residents impacted by flooding

PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC (WMBF) - Tidelands Health will be opening one of its facilities for first responders and residents impacted by flooding.

According to a press release, Tidelands HealthPoint Center for Health and Fitness in Pawleys Island will provide shelter for response agencies and local residents who are dealing with the flooding from Hurricane Florence.

The facility will provide residents and first responders access to the center’s showers and workout equipment at no cost for the duration of the flooding, the release stated. Shampoo, towels and hair dryers are also available.

Upon arrival, residents and responders should be prepared to show ID. Tidelands HealthPoint’s weekday hours are 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Weekend hours are 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday; 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Tidelands HealthPoint is located at 12965 Ocean Highway.
