MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - The city of Myrtle Beach has canceled Solid Waste service Tuesday after a “severe injury” to a Public Works staff member, according to news release.

The worker was injured in a traffic accident while on the way to work, city of Myrtle Beach spokesperson Mark Kruea says.

Solid Waste plans to resume Tuesday’s route on Wednesday, Wednesday’s route on Thursday and Thursday’s route on Friday. The schedule is contingent upon weather and rising flood waters following Hurricane Florence, the release says.
