Hundreds of roads remain closed in the Grand Strand/ Pee Dee

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Nearly two weeks have passed since Hurricane Florence made landfall in the Carolinas, but the flood threat continues throughout the Grand Strand and the Pee Dee.

On Monday the South Carolina Department of Transportation announced that there were 144 road closures throughout the state they were monitoring.

SCDOT is actively responding to widespread flooding across the Northeast portion of the state. There are widespread road closures due to flooding on primary and secondary routes throughout the Pee Dee. I-95 is now open to traffic in both directions throughout South Carolina and North Carolina.
